When we work in a ministry in which a person is gifted, that work will energize that person- not drain. This tool has been designed to help you identify your spiritual gift .

Cost is (1) one pie per house hold. We have a free to sign up talent show, then we follow up the talent with a Pie Auction. The auction helps to raise money to fund the Pathfinder club and their upcoming trip to the 2029 International Camporee.

Stephen Leaders are church staff, lay leaders, and pastors trained to provide ongoing leadership for their congregation’s Stephen Ministry. They are equipped for this key role through the Bridge Leader’s Training Course offered by Stephen Ministries St. Louis.
The Sacramento, Woodside Pathfinder Club, as part of the worldwide Pathfinders organization represents a group of young people (ages 10+ & young at heart staff) committed to personal and spiritual growth, focused on Christian & community service, and determined to properly care for each other and our environment.
While sponsored globally by the Seventh-day Adventist Church and locally by the Woodside SDA Church of Sacramento, Pathfinders is open to those of any religious persuasion, or none at all.

Members of the pathfinder club earn points at each sponsored event they attend. Points are awarded for attendance, preparedness, participation, involvement and courtesy. At the end of the year, those with the highest points accrued are awarded for their achievement. Also, a minimum percentage of points possible must be maintained in order to participate in off-site activities.
Should any member of the club be unable to attend an event they can still receive half the points possible for attending simply by letting the staff know in advance.
Additionally, pathfinders participating in other forms of outreach can submit NOOP (Notice Of Outreach Participation) requests to earn extra points for their outreach efforts outside of club events. This is a great way to make up lost points for events missed.
Pathfinders are issued uniforms each year during registration. There are two types (dress & field) of uniforms, which can be worn in three different ways (Dress A, Dress B, & Field) to best suit the activities scheduled for an event. Dress uniforms (aside from the sash) are rented and returned at the end of each year. The honor sash and field uniforms are purchased and kept. Pathfinders are expected to wear the appropriate uniform to club events and awarded points accordingly.
The Field Uniform is worn for most events and includes the Pathfinder Club T-Shirt with weather and activity appropriate pants or shorts and footwear (no flip-flops or crocs).
The Dress Uniform is worn for special events and can be worn in two variations. Dress A includes the dress shirt, sash, scarf, slide & belt with black slacks, black socks and black dress shoes; and is typically worn at formal events. Dress B is the same as Dress A without the sash, scarf & slide; and is usually worn at special events with more physical activity where a sash and scarf might hinder participation. Dress shirts have numerous patches that indicate the conference, club and class of the pathfinder, including:

*Class Chevrons are earned by the completion of Pathfinder Classwork.
Pathfinders can earn a variety of Honors by participating in club & conference activities and crafts. Upon completion of an Honor pathfinders are awarded with a corresponding patch which can be sewn onto their sash. There are well over 400 Honors that can be earned, covering a wide variety of interests, from art to music to vocational pursuits. Many of these Honors and their requirements can be viewed here.
Pathfinders who want to be invested with a Class (or Advanced) Level must complete all basic requirements (and additional requirements for advanced) for the level they wish to obtain. They may also need to earn specific honors in order to complete the requirements for their level. The Investiture Achievement curriculum is divided into 6 levels:
Requirements can be met in a variety of ways based on how each individual Pathfinder learns best. Each year that a Pathfinder is invested and advances to the next level the tracks remain the same as the previous year. However, the activities to fulfill the requirements change in order to allow each Pathfinder the opportunities to participate in new experiences and challenges and to practice skills and use information previously learned.

Greetings Woodside family!
God has been good to us through another year. We have so much to be thankful for!
Our Food Pantry is at capacity once again, with October coming in at 73 families served for a total of 306 people! With the holidays upon us, Woodside is once again giving out gift cards to help offset the added financial stress this time brings. We are hoping to give out 100 $20 gift cards: 50 in November and 50 in December.
If you would like to help you can donate directly to the Food Pantry in your tithe envelope (just mark it food pantry) or you can purchase $20 gift cards from your favorite grocery store and give them to Leanne Dawson, Jordon Vaughn, or Elena Elazier.
